We started Business Plans Plus because we kept seeing talented people with big ideas stuck at the starting line—not for lack of drive, but because they didn’t have the right guidance. Starting, growing, or scaling a business shouldn’t feel impossible.
We’ve been in your shoes. We've launched our own ventures, hit walls, pivoted, and figured out how to grow without burning out. Through every win and lesson, we’ve learned what actually moves the needle.

Our mission is to support ambitious founders, especially those from Black, Brown, and underrepresented communities, in building businesses that are structured, sustainable, and ready to grow. We bring clarity to the back-end so our clients can lead confidently from the front, turning vision into action and hustle into structure.

Business Plans Plus was founded by Rodney in 2015 with one goal: to make starting and growing a business less overwhelming and more strategic. What started as one person helping others with business plans has now grown into a team of entrepreneurs who live and breathe this work.
Today, the company is co-owned and led by Kenny, Daunte, and Eli—three passionate creatives and strategists who each bring their own strengths to the table.
Together, we combine over 40 years of experience in business consulting, design, branding, and systems to help our clients move from ideas to action.

Rodney Jones
Rodney Jones, founder of Business Plans Plus, has 40+ years of global marketing experience at Fortune 500 firm Owens Corning. A Howard alum with an MBA from the University of Tampa and MIT certification, he’s lectured nationwide and helps for-profit and nonprofit businesses launch, grow, and scale through expert consulting.

Kenny Hawkins
Kenneth B. Hawkins II is a seasoned business strategist with nearly a decade of experience in business development, clinical research, and healthcare operations. As co-owner of Business Plans Plus, he turns big ideas into investor-ready strategies. Kenny’s led high-impact projects, founded a medical software company, and drives growth through data, automation, and smart execution.

Daunte Benjamin has a background in startups, healthcare, and business operations. Eli Fisher
Eli Fisher brings a sharp eye for design, tech, and systems that work. With a background in UX design, photography, and business consulting, he helps our clients simplify complex ideas and turn them into scalable plans.
